Fractured have quite the impressive calender of events in the next few months, this week they play host to Jazzy Jeff on Wednesday 19th July and The Red Eyes and Cave Man Science on Friday 21st July.

Upcoming events for the following months at Brown Alley include:

Shapeshifter After Party – Rhian Sheehan (Live), Sam Bora with MC Pdiggs (NZ) & Jacket (Live) on Friday 28th July.
Fractured presents the after party for live NZ D&B outfit Shapeshifter, featuring Shapeshifter’s MC P-Diggs and DJ Sam Bora and special guest and fellow kiwi export, live act and producer Rhian Sheehan. Also featuring live part breaks outfit Jacket Off playing early with they debut performance at Fractured.

Skool of Thought from the UK on Friday 4th August
The driving force behind the award winning Against The Grain & SuperCharged record labels and club nights, home to the likes of the Freestylers, Krafty Kuts, Splitloop and of course Skool Of Thought. He is the guy responsible for the enormous Paplo Gad “When I Was A Yout”, Groove Armada “Superstylin” and Beastie Boys “Fight For Your Right” breaks bootlegs. Described by IDJ magazine as “an underrated genius” for his Heavy Weight Breaks album and recognised by DJ magazine as helping form the “nu skool breaks” scene. Skool Of Thought is now set to release his debut artist album “Random Acts Of Kindness” on Against the Grain in October.

Fractured & Local Lineup present Greg Packer (WA) on Friday 18th August
Greg is re launching his label ‘interphase’ again with a proper distribution deal through ‘alpha magic’ in the UK. The first single by Greg Packer – ‘Hots Pants / I’ll be right there’ will be the first official vinyl release to come out and shortly followed by ‘luv dup/hold tight.

Rhombus (Live) and Confucius & Mysterious D both from New Zealand on Friday 25th August
The Rhombus live shows is said to be an audible and visual feast for the senses. Their self-produced album releases to date are ‘Bass Player’ and ‘Future Reference’ with album credits that represent a who’s who in the local NZ music scene. The core creative producers/directors are Thomas Voyce, Simon Rycroft, Koa Williams and Ahmen Mahal aka Imon Star (recently departed from the group to pursue his solo project ‘Olmecha Supreme’).

Rhombus will be performing tracks from previously released albums plus a few unreleased versions and remixes on their forthcoming Australian tour.

Confucius & Mysterious D (CMD) – Subfirma Music

Mysterious D and Confucius are due to release their next album early 2007 (also on Subfirma). This album will once again feature collaborations with some well known vocalists from New Zealand and overseas, including King Kapisi, Australia’s Ella Hooper (from popular band Killing Heidi), Agent Alvin & Spikey Tee, as well as Lotus Hartley, Raggadon and Mc Kyla (just to name a few).

Meat Katie from the UK on Friday 1st September
Meat Katie’s new artist album ‘Vibrator’ features collaborations with Aquasky, Justin Drake, Christian J, Elite Force, D Ramirez and Australia’s own Jono Fernandez (supporthing Meat Katie @ Fractured).

Support: Jono Fernadez, Lynt, Rolin Connection + more to be announced.

Boca 45 from UK on Friday 29th September
Invada Records in conjunction with Pocket Punk Agency have announced that Boca 45 (AKA Scott Hendy, one half of Dynamo Productions) is set to tour Australia in September/October to support the release of his hugely anticipated second album, the funk-tastic follow up to his massively successful debut album Pitch Sounds.
