On a blue skyed Sunday afternoon in May earlier this year, the first record was dropped on what was the birth of a new clubbing experience for Brisbane appropriately named The Sunday Roast. Little did those present know, but the monthly event would gather such a cult following that it stayed strong throughout the rest of the year even during the colder months. To celebrate what has been a massive year the Sunday Roast crew have decided to bring in the new year in style with a special New Year’s Day edition of the Roast.
The NYD edition of the Roast is set to be one of the biggest to date, with over 12 hours of musical goodness on show. Headlining proceedings is Brisbane breakbeat duo Bitrok, who have not only had their first track ‘Groovin’’ released on UK breakbeat label P.A.C.K. Music but received the remix treatment from breaks legends Drummatic Twins on the flipside. Bitrock will be accompanied by recently formed live act Obnoxious Disco (the artists formerly known as JayP, Allan Ho, Fezzwah) and DJs Jason Morley, Kieron C, Mark Briais, Fuzion, Ian Nearhos, SyFi, Schoolyard Dope Fiends, Kris Ko and Nat Monaghan
