Christopher Lawrence & BK locked and loaded for Sublime

There are lots of big events coming up for Sydney’s most enduring club night over the next few weeks, with US trance DJ Christopher Lawrence and hard dance superstar BK both set to deliver main room sets. Subbies fans can also look forward to its Young Guns posse of DJs taking over the reigns of the main room in early January.

BK is the first international guest set for a performance at Sublime, and will be playing at its ‘New Years 2 Steps Ahead’ party next December 29. Recognized as one of the most successful and prolific hard dance DJ and producers in the world, while BK was once at the forefront of the UK hard house scene, today he is known as much for his innovative fusions of techno and trance that have pushed hard dance in exciting new directions. He’s released more productions than you could care to list but some of his bigger hits include Music Is Moving and Revolution.

Christopher Lawrence on the other hand is easily one of the biggest DJs to emerge out of the US, recently voted number 4 in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll. Lawrence is known for his quite unique blend of progressive, techno and trance and he had a massive year in 2006, which saw him step up his career in production significantly. He will be taking over the main room at Sublime on Friday January 12.

Hardcore Subbies regulars who rock up to the club on the first Friday of the New Year, January 5th, can expect to see the Young Guns group of DJs playing in the main room. Designed to promote up-and-coming DJ talent, since its inception in 2003 the initiative has showcased forth the likes of Amber Savage, Archie, Yoshi, Ben Morris, Patrik Carrera, Matrix, Cameron O’Shea, Kemuri and played an important part in launching their careers. In January we can expect to hear sets from newcomers Shadower, Slim, Arbor, Leathard and Lil Chris across the different rooms of the club.
