Do you ever find yourself reminiscing about the good ol’ days? The way it used to be? The days of dancing your heart out at Strawberry Fields, Adrenalin and Advent*jahs? Well there is no need to reminisce anymore, thanks to a recent collaboration of local Brisbane promoters who have decided that about time that a party with a retrospective twist is to hit our scene.
The party appropriately named Candee Flip due to have its launch in mid February will no doubt set off a few goosebumps with various anthems from the time that was and possibly give those newbies to the scene a chance to judge whether or not it really was as good as what they have been told it was back then. Featured to play at the event are many of those names that come to mind when thinking of the Brisbane scene circa early to late 90s including: Kesson, Edwin, Mark Briais, Rousey and of course flyer pin-up boy that was Barking Boy, with no doubt a few bits of old skool visuals and memorabilia to set the charm.
