The official ‘godfather’ of breaks flies back to Australia in April and May for a tour that will take in all the country’s capital cities. It will be the first time that Rennie Pilgrem has toured since he played at the Parklife series of festivals in 2005.
Rennie isn’t known as the godfather of his beloved genre for nothing – responsible for coining the term ‘nu-school’ breaks, he’s the mastermind behind the renowned TCR label and the producer of such seminal tunes as Black Widow and the smashing remix of Zero’s Emit/Collect. Fans can look forward to the launch of his new album.
You can catch Rennie Pilgrem at the following dates:
Tuesday 24th April: Adelaide, Marble Bar
Friday 27th April: Perth, Ambar
Saturday 28th April: Hobart, Halo
Friday 4th May: Sydney, Break Inn @ Chinese Laundry
Saturday 5th May: Cairns, Wanna Break @ Gilligans
Sunday 6th May: Brisbane, Empire Hotel
Friday 11th May: Melbourne, Fractured @ Brownalley
