Tomorrow’s heroes, inventors and subsequent denouncers of nu-rave, day-glo knights of neo-awesome Klaxons return to Australia from their trip to interzone to play some interstellar live shows of music, colour and emotion in August.
Culminating in their appearance at the Splendour in the Grass festival in Byron Bay, the Australian tour will also take in dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Klaxons have spent the last 18 months on the kind of trip that plenty dream about but only the chosen ones experience. From playing cramped South London house parties and dreaming of Atlantis to debuting at number two in the UK album chart with the release of their cosmicly epic Myths of the Near Future, collaborating with The Chemical Brothers, an NME Best New Band award and over 120,000 myspace friends, Klaxons have well and truly climbed the mountain of the magnificent and are now firmly set on conquering the known universe.
The Klaxons live experience is a beautifully grand suite of masterful pop, scabbily charming post punk and unabashed sing-along magick that will sweep the nation, with supports to be announced.
Catch the Klaxons at the following dates…
Thursday August 2: The Forum, Sydney
Tuesday August 7: Billboard, Melbourne
Wednesday August 8: Club Capitol, Perth
