Things have been a little quiet on the Adam Freeland front of late, but that’s all about to change in June with the notoriously forward thinking producer, DJ and label impresario making a return to the forefront of the global electronic music scene with his first ever mix for Global Underground.
To celebrate the release of ‘GU032 – Mexico City’, mixed by Adam Freeland, we’re excited to announce that we’ll have the man himself live and online for an ‘in the spotlight’ webchat on Tuesday June 12th at 6pm EST. Mark it in your diary today, you don’t wanna miss this!
Credited as one of the figureheads of the nuskool breaks scene when it emerged in the late 90s – thanks in part to the steady stream of quality music released by his seminal record label Marine Parade – Freeland’s style over the years has remained on the cutting-edge, moving beyond the meat-and-potatoes breakbeat sound many of his contemporaries continue to push, and into the realms of tech, electro, house and more.
Freeland’s new mix includes a heap of exclusives, including underground tracks from the Ed Banger label, Super Discount, and Freeland’s own Marine Parade imprint. There’s also a brand new track by the man himself, ‘Silverlake Pills’, and even an Australian contingent with remixes and tracks from KIM, Midnight Juggernauts and the Bagraiders.
