He was one of the seminal names in progressive house under the alias Breeder, responsible for such club classics like The Chain and Twilo Thunder. He’s maintained his profile as a solo producer over the years as well as becoming a regular fixture in the Australian clubbing scene, and the Chinese Laundry have booked him for a special three-month residency for their Saturday night events.
The residency will go for 13 weeks after it kicks off in early July, and it’s touted as the first time the reclusive Rowan has ever taken up a weekly residency in a club. Earlier in the decade he turned his back on what he identified as the glitz and overkill of the European club scene, choosing to take a lower profile as a DJ/producer in countries like South America as well as Australia.
Rowan Blades’s residency at the Chinese Laundry will kick off with a launch party on Saturday July 7th.
