It’s a while off yet, but ITM can exclusively reveal that the infamous and eclectic DJ, producer and record label owner Adam Freeland will be returning for Fuzzy’s massive Parklife festival tour over the October Long Weekend as well as a series of solo club dates.
“I’ll be back in late September, and it’s all booked in,” he told ITM, confirming that he’ll be doing the festival tour as well as a few additional club dates.
In spite of the consistent rumors, he says he’s got no plans at this stage to relocate to or purchase property in Australia. “I was living in Byron for a while and I set up my studio there for a bit, and I fucking loved it,” he says. “But I probably spent a little too much time surfing and not enough time making records. But I love OZ, and I would definitely love to end up there.
Once a regular visitor to Australia, it’s been a little quiet on the Adam Freeland recently but he’s returning to the spotlight with the release of his first ever mix for Global Underground, based on his recent trip to Mexico City. The CD sees him branching out from the traditional breaks he made his name with and taking in a bunch of new influences that include house, electro, minimal as well as a heavy rocking sound.
Look out for the audio interview on ITM soon, and chat to him yourself when he gets ‘in the spotlight’ on Tuesday June 12th at 6pm EST.
