Winter in Adelaide gets hotter each year, and it’s not just due to global warming. The perennial winter warmer rave event from the Enchanted Crew returns on June 10, and has a few surprises in store for those accustomed to the usual comibinations of decks and MCs.

Local three piece Sonic Monkey are relative new-comers to the scene, and if the name’s ringing bells for you, it could well be thanks to the support of local radio staions Fresh FM, Power FM, 5MU and Great Southern FM. After the radio successes of their first few limited release singles (most notably Just Like a Memory) they’re now busting out live sets, and crossing breaks, electro and ambient musical terrain. At WE they will feature amongst some seriously talented compatriots, including local hip hop solo MC extraordinairre Delta, the slick and varied production outfit Systembot and Brisbane’s C.O.A.

Headliners announced so far looks good for the hard dance lovers with Proteus, and Captain Tinrib taking top-billing. UK’s DJ Fierce, Break and duo State of Mind from New Zealand are destined to please the DnB massive, while the UK’s diverse talent Steve Hill will be showing us why he’s moved so much vinyl in his time. Sydney’s Peewee Ferris and Ctrix/Tymon will also feature, with wildcards 2Pot from Ireland and Sydney’s Refresh rounding out the mix.

In keeping with the Enchanted tradition, the location’s a secret until the day before, but rest assured that it’ll be close to the CBD. It’s also a day-party and all ages, running from 1pm til midnight.
