Ableton Live is certainly one of the hottest tools of the moment for DJs and producers wanting to stay on the cutting edge, and Spank Records is running an introductory course next week hosted by none other than DJ/producer Matt Rowan.

Rowan will be manning the four-week course before he flies out for a three month European tour. He’s renowned both locally and internationally for his remixes and solo production on labels like Hope Recordings, Babylon, Rapid Response and many more, and he’s been DJing for a decade now.

The course begins next Tuesday June 5th from 7.30pm and runs for the next four weeks. It covers an introduction to Ableton Live as well as setting it up, learning about audio, creating MIDI lines and understanding basic composition and mastering. There will be more courses when Matt gets back from his overseas.
