Junior Sanchez descends on Australia

One of New York’s finest Junior Sanchez will be playing a gig on the Gold Coast this weekend, with dates across the country to follow over the next two weeks. He’ll be touring courtesy of the Onelove crew to promote his contribution to their latest CD titled Smash Your Stereo.

Pushing the electro sound long before it reached critical mass, Junior Sanchez is one of the premier names in US house music having worked closely with the likes of Erick Morillo, Armand Van Helden and Roger Sanchez. You’re just as likely to find him in the studio laying down tracks (or these days, tweaking the knobs as a producer on someone else’s work) as you would spinning in clubs across the world.

Electro is the word here, but Junior Sanchez is known for his eclectic love of spinning across a diverse range of sounds. And he’s compiled the third CD on the latest Onelove compilation, the ‘Backroom’ mix.
