Former resident Defcon1 is returning from his new home in Scotland for a brief visit, and he’ll be taking control at Broke-N-Beats’ new residency at The Civic over the weekend and giving his hometown a taste of what he’s been up to.
Pushing breakbeat driven music since 1998, Defcon1 pushes a distinct blend of breakbeat, electro and drum n’ bass and hasn’t looked back since he landed his first residency at the Chinese Laundry club in 2000. Having relocated to Europe 18 months ago, he’s been labeled by Skinny Magazine as “Scotland’s breaks Jedi”.
He’s been putting records out on the legendary Chew the Fat record label and he’ll be supported by residents and old pals Frenzie & The Jackal in his return to the main floor of Broke-N-Beats over the weekend.
Get on down to the Civic on Saturday night for Broke-N-Beats, email jackal@loadedgrooves.com for guestlist.
