This is a band with a mission: Kid Confucius want to establish a new era of soul music in Australia, but by doing it within our traditional rock venues and they’re taking their ‘Street Corner Soul Tour’ far and wide across the country.

The second tour in support of their sophomore album Stripes, they’ll be bringing a sound that’s rooted in the soul movement of the 60s and 70s but powered by the spirit of the hard-edged rock scene. And most appropriately, things are kicking off at Sydney’s seminal rock venue The Annandale Hotel in early September.

Even more exciting is the promise that they will indeed be taking it to the street corners, so keep an eye out for impromptu jams on footpaths and public streets on the afternoon of the band’s gig dates. Details of these jams will be revealed on Kidconfucius.com on the day of the performance.
