For sure this time… After cancelling their recent Splendour in the Grass gigs and other shows around the country, UK Mercury-nominated act The Klaxons have announced a rescheduled series of dates. Their original tour, which would have seen them in the country only just last week, was brought to a devastating end after Jamie Reynolds fractured his ankle in France during July.
The Klaxon’s debut album Myths of the Near Future was released earlier this year, produced by James Ford from Simian Mobile Disco and whether the band actually likes it or not, they’ve been heavily tied to the NME-led ‘nu-rave’ movement and all the fleuro wearing and glowstick waving associated with it. Gravity’s Rainbow is one of the album’s most recognisable singles and you can check out a live performance in ITM-FM HERE.
Catch the Klaxons at the following rescheduled dates! Final release tickets go on sale Monday 20th August.
Saturday 20th October – Melbourne – The Forum
Sunday 21st October – Adelaide – HQ Complex
Tuesday 23rd October – Perth – The Capitol
Thursday 25th October – Sydney – The Enmore Theatre (now all ages)
Saturday 27th October – Brisbane – The Tivoli
