CHANGE CITY :
First off we heard that the Chemical Brothers were on their way to Oz early in the new year for the Big Day Out, but another little birdy landed on our shoulder this week and whispered that they may in fact be here for NYE. We don’t know who to believe! Suffice to say, the Chemical Brothers are tasty enough on their own, but the live experience on a NYE would be extra special indeed.
The duo are currently touring the globe, having played in Japan at Fuji Rock recently and before that in the UK at Glastonbury. ITM’s own Libby Clark, who was at Glastonbury and saw the Chems, had this to say about their current live show; “They delivered a blistering performance at Glastonbury! A hot mix of new material and classics combined with visuals that blow even their brilliant previous work out of the water; those of you who are rolling your eyes and thinking ‘not them again?’ really should give the Chems another look. I have not seen them in such good form for years.”
Make your bets now; will it be NYE or BDO? Hopefully at least one of these birds is telling the truth and we’ll see the Chemical Brothers here in the not too distant future!

looks phenomenal, sounds awesome but a little weird with the reoccuring sound bites from previous tracks that doesnt really seem to fit but are just being dropped anyway. Yet i still like it ALOT

Pretty much the only act in the world i will jump on a plane to go see wherever they play. BDO would be amazing but so would NYE. I dont care, im there either way. Given my own live act is in part influenced by what the Brothers do live, im pretty blown away at the risks they are taking with their live shows once again. Theres new life in their shows and ive never seen the vis so good... watch the footage of Saturate played live on Youtube, or if you can sit for 10 minutes without exploding... The Sunshine Underground is more amazing then ever. [/fanboy]

Wish one of these big acts would tour instead of doing 2 shows in Australian than bailing. Thats what Fatboy did as well and its a shame they dont tour but i guess they have reasons for it.

I've seen the Chemical Brothers twice this year and this video doesn't give credit to the show at all, the sound is completely different and you can't see all the visuals here too well. You have to be there to believe it honestly.

Don't kid yourselves, Chemical Brothers will do NYE at Belvoir Ampitheatre in Perth, like Pendulum last year. All DJ's and groups love it here. London Elektricity rated it their most favoured spot to play. It will be either Chem Brothers or Daft Punk here for NYE
