Over the past few weeks tour dates have been mysteriously appearing on record company websites and artist myspace pages for a ‘MOS Festival’, before disappearing into the ether just as quickly… have the beans inadvertently been spilt on Ministry Of Sound’s forthcoming entry into the touring festival market? Perhaps!
The word currently doing the rounds indicates that successful dance brand Ministry Of Sound’s Australian arm will be launching their very own large scale event in the first weekend of December. Artists rumoured to be appearing on the lineup include German powerhouse live act Booka Shade and Denmark super-producer Trentemoller, although there’s no firm confirmation as yet.
Inertia, the Australian distributor for Booka Shade’s forthcoming album, had the following dates in their ‘tours’ section when we checked on Wednesday August 22nd.
Brisbane – 30 November @ MOS Festival
Melbourne – 1 December @ MOS Day Festival
Sydney – 1 December @ MOS Night Festival
Perth – 2 December @ MOS Day Festival
Those dates have since been taken down. We are not sure why and we cannot confirm the information but Ministry of Sound denies it. As always, stay tuned to ITM for updates!
Take a squizz at this video of Booka Shade performing recently at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival.
