Best known for his contributions towards Brisbane’s drum ‘n’ bass scene and the now infamous monthly event Rude Bwoyz, Ash Operon is now set to take on the world with his first ever international release.

His tune Airports features the luscious vocals of Manta Ray who is also well known in her own right as the lead singer of electronic act My Ninja Lover. The tune was first noticed by Gavin ‘Nookie’ Cheung (a drum ‘n’ bass legend himself) who quickly signed it to his label Phuzion Records. The 12” is set for release on the 28th October and will be a remix by Nookie, with the original being available for download on the digital sister label Strictly-Digital.

Add to that the fact that Airports was recently chosen to feature on the August issue of UK mag Knowledge as track 2 on DJ Kane and MC Lowqui’s mix CD for that month, it’s only up from here for Operon. The magazine has just made it on to shelves over here so there is still a chance to grab a copy for those wishing to see Operon’s name up in lights.

Congratulations Operon!

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!
