One of the globe’s finest purveyors of ‘fidget house’ (which should come as no surprise, considering he coined the term, along with Jesse Rose and Herve), Switch is preparing to make his triumphant return to Australia next month for another eagerly anticipated national tour.
Having produced way more than his fair share of club shaking tracks under various guises – including Solid Groove, A Brucker, and the of course, Switch – to date he’s put his inimitable remix touch to Basement Jaxx, the Chemical Brothers, Spank Rock, Bonde Do Role, Simian Mobile Disco, Armand Van Helden and many more.
However, remix work is not his only forte, with Switch having attained success with his own productions too, including ‘Get Ya Dub On’, ‘This Is Sick’, and the caned-to-death 2006 bootleg ‘A Bit Patchy’. More recently, he has also found himself called on by M.I.A. and Tricky to produce tracks for their albums. Not bad!
If you fancy a chance to jack to Switch when he tours next month, then get thee along to one of the shows listed below. If you missed out on tickets for Harbourlife in Sydney, then take note; he’s now doing a side show at Sounds On Sunday.
Switch Australian tour dates:
Fri Nov 23 – Tonight Only Showcase at The Bakery Artrage Complex, Perth
Sat Nov 24 – Harbourlife at Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Sydney
Sat Nov 24 – Killer at the Abandoned Cinema Complex, Melbourne
Sun Nov 25 – Sounds on Sunday at Greenwood Hotel, Sydney
Thu Nov 29 – Dirty Thursdays at Monastery, Brisbane
Sat Dec 1 – Fore Shore at Commonwealth Place, Canberra
Stay tuned to ITM for updates.
