Tagged with the ‘nu rave’ label, alongside fellow Brits the Klaxons and Hot Chip, if you’ve been waiting for a taste of 5-piece the New Young Pony Club ever since they toured with the V Festival earlier in 2007, then your prayers have been answered!
Nominated for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize (which, coincidentally, was won by the Klaxons), NYPC released their debut album ‘Fantastic Playroom’ in 2007. They’ve set indie-dancefloors alight with singles ‘Ice Cream’ and ‘The Bomb’, and their next single ‘Get Lucky’ is expected to do the same. The band will be playing the festival circuit around NYE and NYD, as well as solo sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne.
