The baddest boys in Baltimore are heading back to Australia this summer, and it won’t come a moment too soon for fans that missed out on getting the full ‘Spank Rock live experience’ earlier in 2007 when frontman Naeem was forced to pull out of the Big Day Out at the 11th hour.

Describing themselves as “like the X rated Motorcycle Diaries meets Kweli on crystal meth”, Spank Rock have been compared to a wide range of artists; everyone from the Beastie Boys and Dizzee Rascal, to Missy Elliot and even 2 Live Crew. They’re funny, catchy, clever, fearless and most important of all, innovative, with their debut album ‘YoYoYoYoYo’ receiving widespread critical acclaim. For their summer tour they’ll bring the full 4-piece live show to Australia.
