Lost luggage causes Switch to miss Killer

ITM’s forums have been ablaze with discussion following Fuzzy’s Killer party over the weekend, with Switch missing his scheduled headline spot. Taking place at the Abandoned Cinema Complex in the Melbourne CBD, the party also featured Boys Noize and The Glimmers, with the unique venue stirring great interest amongst the Melbourne clubbing faithful. Fuzzy will also hold their NYE party there, featuring Felix Da Housecat, Spank Rock, Chromeo and Muscles.

If you were at the party and wondered why Switch was forced to miss his set, Fuzzy have sent through the following explanation in the hope it’ll clear up any confusion. “Due to unfortunate circumstances Switch’s luggage including his music was misplaced from his flight from Sydney to Melbourne, they have now been recovered and he will continue the rest of his Australian tour,” the statement read. “We apologise to all of you who came out especially to see Switch and hope to see you all at the next Killer.”

We’d love to know which airline to blame, but we don’t think that info will be released any time soon!

Who really care about the excues, once again the big corporations have pocketed mega buck to a sell out event but when it come down to it they DID NOT deliver what all that the patron's expected. If i wanted to see a replacement of a local dj to half of Switch's set i wouldn't have paid $53 to see local. The entire responsiblity lays with Fuzzy. What are they going to do about it? A portion of the ticket refunded would be nice......But as if that's going to happen.

This is freakin disgraceful!!! I can't believe killer haven't offered some sort of compensation... the ONLY reason we went was to see switch..and to fork out $70 not to see him is bloody disgusting...I understand that sometimes things happen...I agree with everyone else...a portion should be refunded or at least a discount offered to another event (altho after this debarcle I'm not keen on attending ANY killer events. PS the WORST part was ur lack of communication...you held us all there until FOUR in the morning leading us on meaning we were spending more cash on drinks etc..when I would have LEFT at TWELVE and gone home!!!!!!!!!!! Get ur shit together.

yah, Cappo4 - its sad they write clauses into their gigs that they aren't liable if their major artists dont show up- any other industry you'd be entitled to a full refund. I can totally understand how promoters have problems such as this- but at the same time, its up to them to rectify the mistakes... not going to have many future events if you cant deliver good customer service!
