You can all breathe easy – Sneaky Sound System have cleared their name of any rock-star antics, claiming it was in fact one of their entourage who “trashed” a room at the Chifley Hotel in Albury, NSW.

An official statement issued by the trio insisted the damages – including a a smashed bed, graffiti on the walls and flyscreens ripped off windows – were caused by a rowdy crew member. Unsurprisingly, he/she has been shown the door.

“It’s very unfortunate and disappointing because it has tarnished Sneaky’s name,’’ group manager Amber Zada told Daily Telegraph lift-out Confidential. “The room in question was occupied by two crew members and as a result it was decided it was better to let that person go.’’

Zada also suggested the band are considering legal action against Chifley Hotel, saying that the public accusations made by general manager Mark Munday were “greatly exaggerated.”

“If that’s trashing a room then we’re a pretty sad band,” Zada concluded. “But instead of focusing on it we just want to move forward.’’
