Baile funk’s first global superstar, Edu K, is bringing his blistering live show to Revolver this December. ‘The K’ has been instrumental in bringing the dirty, bass heavy broken beats of baile funk out of the favelas of Rio de Janeiro and into the music spotlight worldwide.

First gaining notoriety as frontman for seminal Brazilian punk band De Falla, Edu K has fused the energy of his early punk beginnings with the relentless baile funk beat of Rio’s favelas into an infectious sound which has had club music heavyweights salivating.

Since the release of his debut album ‘Frenetiko’, with certified dancefloor bombs ‘Popozuda Rock’n’Roll,’ ‘Hot Mama’ and ‘Sex-O-Matic’, he has had a lot of support from the likes of Diplo, Sinden, Bonde do Role, Switch, Scottie B and Fedde le Grand. He’s also currently collaborating with Crookers on their forthcoming debut album.
