Many of Spank Rock’s most hardened fans have been quietly wondering whether collaborating vocalist Amanda Blank would possibly make it out to Australia for their upcoming summer tour. Well, wonder no more, as the group’s tour agent Civil Society has revealed that Amanda – the voice on Spank Rock’s dancefloor hit ‘Bump’ – will in fact be touring with the boys this December and January.
Described as “edgy and fierce (and more than slightly filthy minded)”, Blank is a Philadephia native and member of the group Sweatheart. Her unique vocal approach has seen her collaborate with artists like M.I.A., Teki Latex of TTC, Ghostface, and Spank Rock’s producer XXX Change. She also recently signed to American label Downtown Records, home to Gnarls Barkley and Eagles of Death Metal.
You can catch Amanda performing with Spank Rock at the following shows:
Sun Dec 30 – Pyramid Rock Festival, Philip Island
Mon Dec 31 – Killer NYE, Melbourne
Tue Jan 1 – Field Day, Sydney
Sat Jan 5 – Summafieldayze, Gold Coast
Sat Jan 5 – Sydney Festival First Night, Sydney
Sun Jan 6 – Beck’s Festival Bar, Sydney
Wed Jan 9 – Governor Hindmarsh Hotel, Adelaide
Thu Jan 10 – Metropolis Fremantle, Perth
