Hot young things Operator Please have gallantly stepped into the headline slot at Beck’s Festival Bar on Thursday 10 January, following the cancellation of Bonde do Role.

Despite having no member over the age of 20, the five-piece has already played the Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK and won an ARIA for Best Single. Their exuberant live show mashes “raw and dirty electro pop with exuberant guitar licks, warm and fuzzy pop and ragingly energetic ballads.”

Operator Please join already the already confirmed pop-pastiche master Girl Talk, whose off-the-handle sets often end in random acts of undressing.

Local support comes from Melbourne ones-to-watch Gameboy/Gameboy and DJs Sleater Brockman, Kato and Stuart Buchanan.
