Bjork pounds the paparazzi again

It won’t be long before she’s in Australia to perform at the Big Day Out and an extra-special sideshow as part of the Sydney Festival, but Bjork is already making waves in her oh-so recognisable fashion… The singer and songwriter has physically lashed out at a photographer in Auckland.

Björk had just arrived in New Zealand to perform as part of their Big Day Out and according to News.com.au she was in the company of a male who told the photographer in question – Glenn Jeffrey from the New Zealand Herald – that she didn’t want any photos to be taken. He took them anyway. “I took a couple of pictures… and as I turned and walked away she came up behind me, grabbed the back of my black skivvy and tore it,” he said. “As she did this she fell over, she fell to the ground. At no stage did I touch her or speak with her.”

Apparently Björk was silent throughout, but the male with her kept saying, “B, don’t do this, B, don’t do this.” According to Jeffrey she ripped his shirt in half.

The photographer has spoken to the police about the alleged assault and staff from the Auckland International Airport are looking at video footage of the incident. Police haven’t asked to look at it yet.

Björk doesn’t seem to cope well after long flights: check out this 1996 clip when she famously lashed out at a journalist after a lengthy flight to Thailand!

Dunno about that video, but seriously, the photographer was asked (told) not to take photos, and went ahead and did it anyway. Sure, "B"'s reaction might have been just a tad OTT, but seriously, if the photographer ignored the request to stop snapping then surely the bouncer would have intervened if B hadn't gone Bjorko on him. That said, who illustrates the fine line between genius and insanity better than she? Bless.

While violence is never acceptable- whatever the circumstances people shouldn't judge her only on their own preconceptions/ prejudices or whatever. She has always been feircely protective of her children- doing that 'celeb' thing of touting your kids around to keep your career going has never been her thing and she'd asked the press to leave her alone at the airport as she'd gotten her son with her at the time and was adament that he shouldn't be a part of the media circus- that she herself accepts is part of her life. On arrival at the airport what happens- some dimwit decides to interview and film her anyway and so she flipped. That was the reason for the earlier incident- we have no idea what the story is here but- calling someone a cunt because they attack the papparazzi is a bit strong- these guys don't know when to stop nor what decency is half the time- trying for the 'up-skirt' down-blouse or whatever- I'm not saying that was the case here but we aren't in any position to judge until we hear the whole story. So shut it- please!!

Bjork's attack on the journalist on Thailand came after that journalist had printed scathing rumours abour Bjork in the days before. Bjork is awesome.

"Welcome to Bangkok".. Hmmm. Is it at all possible that our "B" mistook the poor hapless reporter's language, for, I dunno..something else?
