Friction unveils Back Alley Disco

Canberra’s super promoters Friction are proud to launch the new weekly Friday night at Academy: Back Alley Disco! The new Friday events will be a completely different experience to the other nights at Academy with a fresh stage setup, entrance, lighting and music policy. The resident DJs will feature some of the best in the business including The Aston Shuffle, Jeff Drake, Chris Fraser, Steve Lind, Karton, Tim Galvin, Ashley Feraude, Mikah Freeman and Saad.

Launching on Friday 15 February when the Academy refurbishments are complete, Back Alley Disco is certainly staying true to their promise of providing new sounds as the launch will feature none other than so-hot-right-now UK producer and DJ Sinden. Responsible for the 2007 hit ‘Beeper’, as well as countless remixes and his unique genre-hopping style, Sinden is one of the most exciting new artists to emerge of late.
