Many fans of Carl Cox – the world’s number one techno DJ and creator of Intec Records – were left bitterly disappointed last night when they arrived at HQ for the scheduled Ultimate Carl Cox party. A shock to many, it turned out the techno superstar was no longer playing!
Promoters cancelled the headliner at the 11th hour after underwhelming presales for tickets. Although Jon Rundell, Cox’s official tour support DJ, was still set to play for the night many people decided to instead go home or head elsewhere, as by 11pm HQ was shut entirely.
For those heading to the Big Day Out today to catch Carl Cox and Jon Rundell, be sure to get into the Boiler Room nice and early, as it’ll now be Adelaide’s only chance to see the man!
