Chinese Laundry, undoubtedly one of Sydney finest underground clubs, are set to revamp their Friday night come April, with word out that they’d be launching a brand new weekly event at the venue. Full details are still forthcoming, but ITM can reveal that the new party will kick off from Friday April 4th.
The current Friday night Break Inn has proved a popular addition to Sydney’s club scene for the past 2 years, having been one of the last remaining parties to play breakbeat on a weekly basis. However speaking with Chinese Laundry’s promoter Paul Azzopardi, ITM learnt that the new night wouldn’t be saying goodbye to breakbeat entirely.
“We’ll still incorporate breaks, but we’re opening up the music policy to allow different sounds as well. In the Cave we’ll be running techno and tech, and we’ll also have Baltimore and a bit of electro in the mainroom,” Azzopardi revealed. “The launch party is April 4th and we’ve got Phil Keiran to headline”.
Stay tuned to ITM for updates over the coming months.
