If you’re looking to combine your passion for music with a casual role working in audio/video production, this is an opportunity you can’t afford to miss. There’s never been a more exciting time to be in the music and online space. The Sound Alliance – parent company of successful community websites inthemix.com.au, FasterLouder.com.au and SameSame.com.au – is looking for an enthusiastic Production Coordinator to support our very busy content team in Sydney on a casual basis (8-10 hours per week). You will be responsible for assisting the Editorial team in the production of high quality audio and video content, and on any given week the role will include an array of dynamic tasks, including:
> Editing of audio interviews for online streaming.
> Recording and production of fortnight podcasts.
> Supervision, shooting and editing of video interviews.
> Encoding of audio and video content for online streaming.
This role is perfectly suited to someone looking to build a career in media and production. Being a casual role it may suit an applicant who is studying towards appropriate tertiary qualifications, as hours and days of work are flexible. A broad understanding, knowledge and passion for music is essential, as well as outstanding audio-visual editing abilities and technical understanding. A familiarity with programs such as Adobe Audition and Premier will be looked upon favorably, as well as experience encoding flash video.
If you’re ready to make your mark on the music industry then send your resume and cover letter to tim@team.inthemix.com.au. Applicants will be requested to also submit a portfolio of work or showreel. Applications close Friday February 22nd.
