As revealed on inthemix recently, global dance music superstar Tiesto is set to return to Australia in late April. Trance fans unite, this is the tour you’ve been waiting for! It will be the Dutchman’s first visit to Australia in 4 years, and judging by the response to the initial announcements it’s clear that Tiesto’s many local fans have been waiting for this news with keen anticipation for quite some time!
As promised, inthemix can now reveal that Tiesto will be touching down for shows in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney over the last weekend of April (Anzac Day long weekend) and first weekend of May. Presented by Hardware, Prime Time Management, Transmission, Family and Killrockstar, inthemix is a proud supporter of Tiesto’s return tour! The tour has so far visited over 70 cities across the globe and is in support of Tiesto’s third artist album, ‘Elements of Life’.
The venues selected for Tiesto’s Melbourne and Sydney ‘In Concert’ shows are said to have been carefully chosen to meet the Dutch legend’s exact specifications, preferring to play arenas with “clear quality sound and access to a large scale, yet intimate feel as Tiesto likes to be close to the crowd (2 meters away in fact).” Tickets go onsale Tuesday February 12th, and an exclusive allocation will be available right here on inthemix.
Tiesto recently gained accolades from American music megalith Billboard.com, with the website naming him and his Elements Of Life world tour as one of 2007’s highlights. “Tiesto’s spectacular tour featured sky-high video screens, pyrotechnics and trippy appearances by Blue Man Group,” enthused the US media outlet. “With a lighter-hoisting rock scope and a ‘concert-style’ set programmed to match the visual onslaught, the tour blazed a new trail for DJ performance.”

I have been waiting an eternity to see Tiesto and now that he is finally coming to Melbourne he won't even spend a full night with us, it better be a 6hr set at the very least!! I've been checkingITM every few days to make sure we had notice to get tix, well obviously that wasn't enough. What a load of shit these tix went on sale just hours after the shows were announced, how ridiculous! So many of my mates are going to miss out now.

thanks a lot ITM. tell us info would be out at a certain date- we had nothing all week. tell us the date tickets would be sold- again it was wrong! then u tell us that when the info is released we would have plenty of time to organise to buy tickets- yet they go on sale almost immediately. thank god for the 2nd melbourne show. and thank god for Ticketmaster!

yeah iam with crxdog on this one for the 2nd show for tiesto in Brisbane they should put him in the Riverstage that way the music can be pumpin loud and theres bigger space for the venue. More Money guys think about it lol modular or someone else should support it.

I hate to be harsh, but if you were tru fans (those who missed out) u wouldnt have just relied on inthemix, you wouldve looked on tiesto website, looked on festival hall website and ticketmaster website and you wouldve had a chance to get tickets like most of us hardcore fans, i had mine by 9.05- I wish you all the best getting the 2nd show- im not trying to be a bitch im just sick of people whinging, if u want something bad enough u gotta take it into ur own hands and research baby!!!!! The time is from 7pm - 1am if you look at all of the details, I dont see how that works out to be a 2 hour set. Also, any one who actually saw him at Together, Melbourne 4 years ago, would know that he is worth the money. If everyone is so concerned about the venue, dont go. Im sure that the organisers of this would have looked into the venues thoroughly, as I am sure they do not want to upset fans, or Tiesto, which would have probably cost an arm and a leg to get out here, and taken alot of organising. Looking forward to it :)

I agree, true fans would be members on his official site and would have noticed he was set to play here in April. Although i agree with those who are annoyed at ITM for the statement of giving fans plenty of time,i checked ITM today at 12:30pm and saw ticks were on sale and first show was sold out, however managed to get them through ticketmaster. Best of luck 2 those on the prowl and those attending. The set is not 2hrs in Melbourne, read details in more attention!!

Just got my tix a few mins before the 2nd show sold out!! ---> but i really do feel sorry for all the hardcore fans that missed out due to the lack of notice..... it really sucks cause no one could prepare for the release of tix and some of my good friends missed out :( now they have to contend with those W*****RS on ebay charging ppl through the nose for something they should only pay 95 dollars for :(

To release the tickets without a 24hr blackout beforehand is just madness - Ticketmaster only showed tickets for Melbourne were going on sale last night - about 12 hours notice. There was no indication on Ticketek that sydney was going sale today at all! I checked between 7-8am Perth time, all the ticket sites, and ITM, and there was no news for Brizzy and Sydney; Next thing I know, at 10:30, ITM have sold out, ticketek is on sale!! No forwarning what so ever. Pretty poor effort on behalf of all the ticket vendors really. Usually for big events, there's a week of hype-up, 3days of presale, then public sale...

I was on the family myspace and it says tickets are $45 b/f first release and $60 b/f second release.... Id much rather trust them than here.
