Alex Metric breaking through in Australia this March

Having picked up the Breakthrough Producer title at the 2006 Breakspoll Awards, fast rising UK star Alex Metric is readying himself for an Australian tour this March. After causing a stir with his debut EP on the Marine Parade label a few years back, Metric spent the best part of 2007 focusing on remix work, putting his inimitable touch to Gus Gus, Splittr, Jape, Metric, 30Hz and even indie act Hard-Fi. He was named the ‘Next Big Thing’ by tech-funk guru Meat Katie, and he’s worked alongside some of the scene’s biggest, including Darren Emerson and Adam Freeland. This will be Metric’s first Australian tour.

Fri Mar 14 – Ambar, Perth
Sat Mar 15 – Chinese Laundry, Sydney
Thu Mar 20 – Base, Magnetic Island
Sat Mar 21 – Breaks N Enter, Brisbane
Sun Mar 22 – Brown Alley, Melbourne
