To be honest, we can tell that ITMers are more or less over the whole ‘Corey saga’ (just have a read of the comments under our Calvin Harris feature HERE to get the general vibe), but having followed the story since it initially broke we thought it important to give you the final word on his ill-fated party tour… in the interest of providing you with the tale’s final conclusion, of course.

First up there was his ‘job offer’ from Sydney event promoter Tim Sabre, followed a few weeks later by the announcement of an east coast party tour to be headlined by reigning inthemix50 #1 Ajax. This was quickly followed by a statement from Ajax’s booking agent that he had never been confirmed to play the tour. We’re sure this didn’t instill too much punter confidence in Corey or the promoter’s ability to follow through on the much hyped tour.

Inevitably a ‘tour cancelled’ notice has now gone up on Moshtix (check it HERE). The outlet had been selling tickets for the Sydney leg of the tour – the only one official confirmed to take place – at Luna Park on Saturday February 23rd. ITM contacted Tim Sabre of Raw Entertainment last week to find out the reason for the cancellation, but he was quick to tell us the tour was in fact just delayed. It seems Corey is a very busy boy at the moment and simply couldn’t fit the tour in to his schedule. “His management want to clarify that he has not cancelled his tour at all,” Sabre remarked. “It is merely being postponed to coincide with his media commitments.”

Whether Corey’s party tour will get off the ground a second time remains to be seen, but for now you can rest assured that his name will no longer be mentioned on our news pages. At least until he does something remarkably absurd again, like announce a tour headlined by the country’s most popular DJ who had never been booked to play… Then we’ll be all over it!
