The Smirnoff Experience Area 21 stage is set to return in March, heading to the Future Music Festival in Brisbane and Sydney to serve up “unexpected sets” from some of the event’s headline acts. So far this summer the Area 21 stage has appeared at Summadayze and Kiss My Grass in Melbourne, as well as Summafieldayze on the Gold Coast. Sydney and Brisbane, it’s now your first chance to get a taste.

Area 21 is fast gaining a reputation this summer, offering up headline DJs playing sets away from the mainstage… and away from their known style. For the Future Music Festival you’ll be able to catch both Toolroom record label head honcho Mark Knight and tech-funk mastermind Elite Force throughout the day, as well as top class locals. Known and loved for their respective styles, it’s anyone’s guess what they’ll play at Area 21. You’ll have to be there to hear it for yourself!

If you’re wondering what sorta thing to expect at Area 21, check out inthemix’s festival page, where we’ve got exclusive videos and DJ sets from past events. Head over there to hear recordings of Sister Bliss, Bexta, Mark James and more.

I would recommend checking out Elite Force Area 21-style. I'm sure he's got some wonkier, deeper stuff in his crate that'd go down a treat. Jealous!
