There’s been speculation floating around since late last year that Dutch trance superstar Armin van Buuren would be bringing his ‘Armin Only’ show to Australia this year – featuring not only a DJ set from the man himself, but the whole elaborate show in all its glory that so far has only been seen in the Netherlands. But it’s now locked in that ‘Armin Only’ WILL be reaching Sydney and Melbourne, with Future Entertainment confirming the tour will take place over the June Long Weekend, on the anniversary of Armin’s wildly successful ‘White Party’ tour in ‘07.
“Be apart of history in the making,” were the tantalizing words of the promoter who’ll be bringing Armin back to Australia. The annual shows that take place in Holland are certainly known for providing massive doses of jaw-dropping spectacle: lasers, over-the-top production, guest vocalists and live acts, as well as extravagant Euro-style theatrics that includes dancers, extravagant lighting effects and the man himself emerging from behind a silhouetted white sheet. How much of this will we get to see in Australia? Who knows, but with Armin taking the #1 crown in last year’s DJ Mag 100, he’s got more pulling power than ever.
