Since returning to South Australian soil in mid December, Adelaide-based audio-visual act Supermarket launched locally in style with supports slots for Salmonella Dub, Calyx and a spot on the Shores on a New Year’s Day festival line-up. With intimate Adelaide Fringe dates approaching this weekend, Supermarket have also just received news that the video for their liquid d’n’b track ‘Urban Spice’ has been nominated for a South Australian Short Screen Award!
Offering an exclusive opportunity to see the first incarnation of Supermarket’s audiovisual show in the comfort of a 38 seat micro-cinema, Dan Monceaux and Emma Sterling will present shows over three nights (February 28th, March 1st and March 2nd) in The Mercury Cinema’s ‘Iris’. With a bar and decks spinning in the foyer, there’ll be equally unique sets from DJs Derek Lang, Trebek and Batch (a different DJ each night). Following Fringe, the duo will jet off to Canada, where they will tour across North America once more, beginning at Dawson City on the Arctic Circle!
Stay tuned to ITM for updates.
