That’s right – Desyn Masiello, Demi and Omid 16B, playing at a club near you. SOS are one of dance music’s most exciting collectives and they’ve just mixed the latest in the ‘Balance’ series of compilations, and they’ll be here for a tour in support of it in April. While we came oh-so-close to seeing them together last year when Desyn was touring with the Good Vibrations festival, this time we’ll actually be able to see the trio mixing it up behind the decks together.
While all three have had their own separate careers prior to the formation of SOS, they hooked up in 2004 after taking inspiration from their SexOnWax and Deeper Substance imprints. They quickly building a reputation for their inventive mixing and intense musical chemistry, demonstrated best in their pumping Essential Mix which they recorded for the UK’s Radio 1 a few years ago. However, Balance 013 marks the first time the trio has committed their sound to a CD compilation, and with reports that they locked themselves away for weeks to complete it, packing it full to the brim with their signature re-edits and remixes, the 3-CD release should be something special to look forward to.
Catch the SOS collective tearing it up at the following dates around the country…
Fri April 4th – Perth, Shape
Sat April 5th – Sydney, Chinese Laundry
Sun April 6th – Canberra, Trinity Bar
Fri April 11th – Brisbane, Barsoma
