After the sellout success of their gigs back in April and August of last year, the Drum[&]Breaks crew have decided that the time is right for them to stake their claim on the Sydney drum n’ bass and breaks scene. This Easter Thursday they’ll be returning to their spiritual home of The Burdekin for another massive night over two floors. But it’ll be the first of what will from now on be a monthly residency at the venue: the second takes place on Thursday 24th April, Anzac Day Eve and from May onwards, each subsequent event will take place on the last Saturday of the month.
This Thursday, Drum[&]Breaks will be hosting a fine array of local talent over the two levels. Level 1 will feature the sounds of breakbeat with Tonedef DJs, Kemuri and JBY all throwing it down behind the decks. And the sounds of drum n’ bass will be taking over the second level Ritual, Element, Shuey and i-dub all lending their impressive music selection skills to the evening.
Drum n’ bass and breaks remain neglected styles in Sydney, but the crew from, Drum [&] Breaks are determined to see this change! Check it out when they hit the Burdekin on Easter Thursday, 20th March.
