The delightful chaps from Bang Gang make their long awaited return to Arq (by our calculations they haven’t had a party since December last year, correct?) with an event that’s shaping up to be one of their biggest on record. It’s so big, in fact, that they’ve teamed up with Modular and have even given the party it’s very own name; 100% Mega Dance.
Although it sounds like some cheesy mid-90s euro-dance compilation that I have hidden away in my CD collection – I think that Whigfield song ‘Sexy Eyes’ in on there – the party is actually shaping up to be pure unadulterated quality, with the freshest dance headliners from the V Festival playing exclusive Sydney club shows for the Bang Gang posse.
First up there’s Chicagoens (if that’s that even a word…) Flosstradamus, as well as Munk of uber-cool German label Gomma, and to top it all off Swedish electro-pop duo The Tough Alliance will also feature. But wait, that’s not all, as the Bang Gang crew of Doom, Ajax, Hoodrat, Dangerous and Double Nolan will be on hand, as well as Kato and Spruce Lee and the Gay Bash Dick-Disco room.
It all happens on Friday April 4th at Arq, stay tuned to ITM Whatson for updates… Below is the original clip of Whigfield ‘Sexy Eyes’, make sure you request Ajax plays it on the night:
