Adelaide’s leading youth broadcaster Fresh 92.7, which marked ten years on air last week, have announced plans for the peak of its yearlong celebration. The 92.7×10 party will be held at HQ Complex on Anzac Day Eve, Thursday 24 April.

Former Fresh 92.7 DJ Mobin Master, who is now based in Melbourne, will fly back to SA as headliner for the party, with a live set accompanied by vocalist Karina Chavez. This will be part of his hotly anticipated national tour for the new single ‘Show Me Love’. In all, over 30 Fresh DJs will perform across five rooms at HQ Complex. Doors open at 9pm and don’t close until very late.

Formed in 1998 as a part-time community radio station, Fresh 92.7 has emerged as a leading force of youth expression in Adelaide. Over the past ten years, Fresh 92.7 has created a unique broadcasting style, and most importantly, nurtured many of Adelaide’s up and coming artists and radio personalities.

Station Manager Mal Chia says that the 92.7×10 party at HQ is an opportunity to celebrate the station’s birthday with all Fresh 92.7 supporters. “Integral to Fresh 92.7’s success is the listeners who tune in every day. We are Adelaide’s leading youth broadcaster because Adelaide youth continue to believe in what we are doing. This is our chance to say thank you and party with all those people.”

All door takings on the night will go to sustaining the not-for-profit’s activities. “This is our major fundraising event for the year and is vital to help keep us on air,” Mal added. “HQ is the only venue in Adelaide capable of meeting the increasingly eclectic needs of the Fresh Community and the support we have received from them has been incredible.”
