Minimal Fuss are back with Alex Smoke

It’s been a little while since we heard from the Minimal Fuss crew, but come the ANZAC long weekend that’ll change as they return to the Civic Theatre for an extra special event on Thursday April 24th featuring Glaswegian minimal tech master Alex Smoke. One of Soma Records’ most revered and respected artists, Smoke has established a healthy reputation in recent years for the quality and unbelievable quantity of music he’s able to output.

Although firmly rooted in the minimal sound, Smoke draws on elements of electronica, techno, classical and hip hop, making him one of the genre’s most unique artists. He’ll be supported by the regular posse of locals; Declan Lee, Ben Korbel, Matt Aubusson, Dave Choe and Oliver A. It’s only $10 if you RSVP to minimalfuss@sounds.net.au, or $15 on the door, although with their events having a tendency to fill rather quickly, you’re advised to get there as early as possible! It all kicks off at 9pm.
