When it was announced in 2007 that Superpitcher and Michael Mayer would team up for a concept album of epic proportions, tech fans around the world rubbed their hands together with glee.

The album, appropriately titled ‘Save The World’, was released under the equally heroic name Supermayer, and it saw the duo putting together an album steeped in deep electronica, but with a vast and textured array of musical instrumentation, including trumpet, saxophone, acoustic guitar, melodica, flute, percussion and even a gong or two.

Released on Mayer’s own trailblazing Kompakt label, Supermayer will visit Australia over the ANZAC long weekend for a quick run of east coast events. This isn’t a show you can afford to miss, so be sure to get yourself front and centre when Supermayer swoop through your town!

Supermayer tour dates:

Thu Apr 24 – Royal Melbourne Hotel, Melbourne
Fri Apr 25 – Empire Hotel, Brisbane
Sat Apr 26 – Livewire, Sydney

Stay tuned to ITM for updates. Meanwhile, take a look at this clip of John Dahlback dropping Supermayer’s dancefloor destroying track ‘Two Of Us’ in Stockholm last year:
