After a string of sellout gigs at The Burdekin, and their subsequent launching of their monthly residency at the same venue, it’s time to fire up those birthday candles: Drum[&] Breaks is turning one year old! It’s was Anzac Day eve in 2007 that the crew packed out the house for the very first time, and this Thursday 24th April they’ll be returning to do it all over again.
Representing the funkier side of both genres across two levels of The Burdekin, last month’s DJ lineup proved such a success that they’ll be doing it all over again. Level 1 will feature the sounds of breakbeat with Tonedef DJs, Kemuri and JBY all throwing it down behind the decks, while the sounds of drum n’ bass will dominate the second level with Ritual, Element, Shuey and i-dub all on board for the fun.
Come and help the Drum[&] Breaks celebrate their 1st Birthday when they return to the Burdekin on Thursday 24th April, and after that on the final Saturday of every month with the next to take place on Saturday 31st May.
