Perth’s Pendulum are certainly living up to their promise of being the next big thing in electronic music, and they’ve nailed down what’s certainly one of the most powerful, intense and rockin’ live dance performances the world has ever seen. And they’re also one of the most exciting live acts touring the world, period. With heavy metal aggression and testosterone to burn, Pendulum returned to their home country this week for a whirlwind tour that unveiled their live show for the very first time: check out the photos to see how all the mayhem went down.

While they’ve been representing in London over the past few years, over the last 12 the Pendulum boys were locked away working on something very special indeed: in addition to their sophomore album, they were also figuring out how to take their live performance to the next level. As was explained in the recent ITM interview, there was a lot of thought put into it and a shitload of technology involved, and Australia has finally seen the end result of all that hard work: a smashingly intense live performance that brings rock and dance music together in an in-your-face fashion that hasn’t been seen since The Prodigy first started taking their act around the world.
Stay tuned to ITM as we got the chance to catch up with the band at their hotel before the Sydney gig. We’ll bring you the video as part of our brand new inthemix.tv show, coming in a few weeks time!
