UPDATE: THE SINGLE HAS BEEN LEAKED, CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF HERE!
With speculation rife that party-teen Corey Worthington will make a surprise entry into the Big Brother house in 2008, it seems more fuel can be added to the rumour monger’s fire with secret sources revealing to ITM all the goss on his debut single, scheduled for release on May 5th.
Corey’s first foray into the illustrious world of recorded music will be a cover (shock!), and it should come as no surprise he’s chosen a song that fits his party-boy persona down to a tee; his very own version of the Beastie Boys’ classic party anthem ‘Fight For Your Right’. Originally released way back in 1986 – six years before Corey was born – we’re not sure if the Beastie Boys would be entirely approving of his homage, especially since the legendary hip hop trio are now right into their Buddhism.
First grabbing headlines in January this year after 500 teenagers descended on his parent’s house for a party, only to be dispersed by a Police helicopter and the dog squad, Corey’s short ‘career’ to date has seen him offered a job promoting his own dance parties (which were announced, but never actually took place as far as we can tell). We can only hope Corey is able to reignite enough media interest to undertake a launch tour for the single.
While we wait patiently to hear the auditory orgasm that Corey’s take on ‘Fight For Your Right’ will no doubt induce, relive the quality of the original with this classic Beastie Boys clip!
