Having already swept through Sydney and Melbourne (pics here), Brisbane finally get the chance to experience the Smirnoff Microfestival on Sunday May 25th at Birdee Num Num. The Smirnoff Microfestival is an interesting concept, and it’s already set tongues wagging as it offers aspiring DJs and music fans the chance to get their ‘15 minutes of fame’ in front of a live audience by DJing direct from their iPod.
The concept has developed into something of a craze in NYC, and it has proved just as popular down under. In Brisbane the iPod DJs will get the chance to play alongside Sampology and Birdee Num Num resident Danny T. the event features an intimate stage, lighting rid, the Numark iDJ2 iPod mixer, and of course a booming sound system.
If you’d like the chance to show your stuff just email your top 5 tracks (tile and artist) along with your name and contact details to smirnoffmicro@splendidcomms.com by 9pm on Sunday May 18th.
