BMW make The Presets an offer they can't refuse

“So hot right now” doesn’t even come close to describing indie-dance darlings The Presets, with a chart topping album and sold out national tour two of their latest crowning achievements. Not surprisingly, when a band find themselves so in-demand the offers from corporates come out of the wood-work. One that we didn’t see coming, however, is from Luxury German car brand BMW, who’ve announced a rather interesting ‘collaboration’ with The Presets. Will we see Kim and Julian motoring around in swanky new BMWs sometime soon?

The car co have commissioned a remix of The Presets’ hit ‘Are You The One?’, which coincides with the release of their new 1 Series convertible and coupe range. The remix has been completed by Frenchman Lifelike, known for his dancefloor hit ‘Discopolis’. He’s put together the ‘Lifelike’s 1 Serious Remix’, which has been unveiled alongside a Jonathan Zawada directed animated music video that features the BMW 1 Series in the starring role. You can download the audio of the remix for free by heading here. Presumably the animated video will appear online shortly, we’re not exactly sure!

In other Presets news, the band were recently announced as one of the first nominees for the 2008 J Award along with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. No doubt their first of many ‘best of’ accolades their album ‘Apocalypso’ will no doubt receive. Stay tuned to ITM for updates!

I cant believe anyone would call the Presets hopeless, Sorry Gigolo but you kinda lost all credability with that statement say you dont like em but to call them hopeless is going a bit too far

Presets are great. Advertising is crap. The two DON'T go together and never should.....avertising puts a dirty mark on any art-form. Did you know that 'The Gilmour Girls' was created by a group of companies who wanted to create a TV show? They came up with the series so they could place their products subtly, secretly advertising to their target audience. This CRAP shouldn't happen. Imagine a picaso painting with a ford in the background! It's as if the Presets don't already have enough money/sponsorship...
