That’s right, there are only a few weeks to go before Future Entertainment and its flagship club night Famous will be packing their bags and leaving home… Leaving Home Nightclub, that is. That’s right, after a year of holding down the Saturday night residency at Sydney’s biggest nightclub, in a run that’s seen them hosting international guests of the likes of Roger Sanchez, Junior Jack, Kid Crème, Paolo Mojo, Steve Porter, Luke Fair, Boogie Pimps, Sander Kleinenberg and Junkie XL to name just a few, Famous’s reign at the Cockle Bay venue is coming to an end. But this won’t be the end of Famous, according to Future Entertainment.
“The time has come for Famous to fly the nest. Famous will be leaving Home on Sat June 14th and taking a well earned vacation. With plans to move into a new venue in summer, this is not the end of Famous,” Future Entertainment has revealed. And they’ll be taking their residency out with a bang over the coming weeks, with Princess Superstar featuring this Saturday 31st May, local legend Hook N Sling the week after while the ‘Leaving Home Party’ on Sat 14th June promises to be a massive celebration, with more details to come shortly.
And its replacement? This week’s issue of 3D World featured an advertisement for a new night called Home Made, with the main room featuring a music policy of “dance hits, R&B and big party,” with the Icon Room pumping out “Retro Disco” alongside another “Video Room.” The opening launch party will be going down on Saturday June 21st, so we’ll let you draw your own conclusions about the latest addition to Sydney’s clubbing landscape.
Stay tuned to ITM for details on the future of the Famous brand in Sydney.
