As 2008 continues to fly by at record pace it’s inevitable that we start to wonder who we’ll see heading down under for forthcoming festival tours. As is de rigeur, the announcement of Fuzzy’s annual Parklife is expected for mid-June, so here at ITM we’ve kept our eyes open for any hints on who may have it in their schedule to appear. After weeks and weeks of waiting, the first glimmer has come into sight!

Electro-breaks duo Slyde – who have a long-established reputation on the Finger Lickin’ Records label – released their debut album ‘Everyone’s Entitled To Our Opinion’ back in April, and while taking a look at their MySpace page recently we couldn’t help but view their upcoming tour dates with keen interest. That’s right, it seems the duo – better known as Robin 12Tree and Jason Laidback – will be heading to our shores to undertake the national Parklife tour in 2008.

ITM contacted Fuzzy for confirmation on whether Slyde will be heading to Australia for Parklife and they were tightlipped, so we cannot confirm their appearance 100%. But, with Parklife always featuring one of the biggest and most eclectic line-ups of any event on the festival calendar, so can be guaranteed the 2008 tour will be good quality.

Be sure to keep your eyes glued to ITM over the coming month as we bring you all the Parklife details as they’re revealed! To while away the hours until Parklife is announced, why not have a listen to this Slyde DJ mix that was passed on to ITM-FM recently:
